“Since arriving in New York in 1999, Cuban saxophonist Yosvany Terry has helped redefine jazz,” the New York Times said. His work cross-pollinates technical mastery with experiential vision and desire for intercultural expression. A deep commitment to meaningful exchange compels Yosvany to perform with some of the world’s most talented musicians.
The Yosvany Terry Quintet features Manuel Valera (piano), Hamish Smith (bass), Julian Miltemberger (drums), and Yosvany Terry (saxes and Chekeré).
The quintet will perform a concert at the David Rockefeller Creative Arts Center at Pocantico, followed by a reception.
This event is presented in partnership with the RBF’s Culpeper Arts & Culture Program and the Cuban Artists Fund.
